I would have to review my notes and review some concepts if I was to give this talk again. But I would say that the (general) idea is that at a conical singularity of a SO(32) string on a hyper-kohler manifold, then there is a instanton SU(N) charge. So there’s more to a singularity than meets the eye (rimshot).
